JAMSASC: Simple Pendulum (Unit Physics)

s=seconds
m=meters
L=length=1.96; root L=1.4
G=gradient=2;gradient(squared)=4
g=gravity=9.8 theoretical value
{units}

Gradient = s/m
Gradient (squared) = s(squared)/m(squared)
Gravity = m/s(squared)
Gravity =m/s(squared)

Show that Gravity = 4*x(squared)/Gradient(squared)
In this case
x is a function of the total length of pendulum
x=1/(root L value) and root L has unit (root m)
therefore the
unit for x is (1/root m)

It can therefore be shown that

Show that Gravity = 4*x(squared)/Gradient(squared) as follows

g = m/s(squared)=4*x(squared)/G(squared)
g = m/s(squared)=4*[1/root L](squared)/[G(squared){s(squared)/m(squared)}]

g = m/s(squared)= 4*({1/root L{root m}](squared)/[G(squared)]{s(squared)/m(squared)}

Gravity = m/s(squared)= 4*1/root m(squared)*G{m(squared)/s(squared)}
since (1/m)*[m(squared)=m
Gravity = m/s(squared)= 4*m/s(squared)/G(squared)

  • Newtons laws: Isaac Newton Clearly sets out the laws of mechanics, Motion.
    • Law 1: Every body continues to be in a state of rest or to move with uniform velocity unless a resultant force acts on it.
